The model

Café Racer N2

The Café Racer N2 keeps the line of the N1 with a biker collar closed by a snap button, and piped rather than zipped side pockets: the front is calmer, the silhouette dressier. The two zipped chest pockets keep the original spirit.

Every piece is Made in France, made to order in our Paris workshop. Production takes 4 to 6 weeks — not because it's slow, but because every leather jacket is unique.

Genuine customer reviews.

"I had been following the publications for some time and was eagerly awaiting my trip to Paris to see the pieces in person. The experience confirmed all the good things I had heard. The leathers are remarkable, both high-end, ethical, and respectful. The jackets and blousons are characterized by a sleek, elegant, and timeless style, with an exceptional level of finish down to the lining. An address I recommend without reservation."

"I discovered Atelier Bertrand while looking for THE JACKET, that special piece, the one that has that little something extra. I've been buying leather jackets for over 25 years: Schott, Chevignon, Redskins... I just bought my 4th jacket, it's incredible, the leather really catches the light. The quality is magnificent. Jérôme is passionate and helpful. I'm not looking anymore..."

"I was looking for a quality leather jacket in a color other than black. I came across a military green plonge lambskin one and fell in love with it. The leather felt incredibly soft, something I had never experienced before, and I've received many compliments. Jérôme gives excellent advice."

"In my search for a sleek and chic perfecto-style jacket, I met Jérôme who was able to create the jacket I had in mind. No chest zipper, but instead a blazer-style chest pocket for this brown perfecto that I love to wear."

Questions about this model

FAQ

How is the Café Racer N2 different from the Café Racer N1?

The difference is in the side pockets. On the Café Racer N2 they are piped patch pockets, whereas they are zipped on the N1. The two chest pockets remain zipped. The N2 therefore looks a little more understated at the sides. Shown in brown deerskin, with a biker collar fastened by a snap button.

How do I choose my size for the Café Racer N2?

The café racer has a fitted cut, close to the body. Take your usual size. As each jacket is made to order, we set the body and sleeve lengths with you when you order for a well-adjusted fit.

How do I care for the Café Racer N2?

It depends on the leather chosen. Deerskin, like the brown model shown, mostly needs a soft cloth; plongé lambskin should be nourished with a leather lotion once or twice a year. Avoid prolonged exposure to damp, and the leather will develop a patina over time.

Can the Café Racer N2 be customised?

Yes. It is available in all our leathers and more than 120 colours; it is shown here in brown deerskin. You choose the leather, the colour and the finishes. Come and see the leathers at the showroom to create yours.

Where is the Café Racer N2 made, and how long does it take?

It is made to order in our workshop in the heart of Paris. Allow 4 to 6 weeks between order and delivery — the time it takes to select the hide and assemble the jacket to your lengths.

What is the price of the Café Racer N2, and can I try it on?

The customisable Café Racer N2 is €1,470. You can try it on and have your measurements taken by appointment at our showroom, 31 Passage Verdeau, Paris 9th.
