Leather

Durable, noble materials

Grained full-grain leather naturally resists marks and scuffs. Vegetable tanning gives it the ability to develop a patina in the sun, to soften and to gain character.

The buckle is solid brass, a metal that softens with time and keeps its lustre. The vegetable-tanned nubuck lining ensures perfect comfort, even on the longest days.

  • Full grain — the top layer of the hide, not reconstituted
  • Vegetable-tanned by traditional Italian tanneries
  • French calf — traceable origin and breed
  • A natural patina that improves with wear

The adjustable belt

Under the brass buckle, a small screw system lets you shorten the belt to exactly your size.

An elegant, almost invisible solution that ensures a perfect fit, even if your shape changes or if the belt is meant as a gift.

  • Solid brass made in Italy — golden patina
  • No zamak to turn pale or crumble
  • Nubuck lining inside — comfortable all day
  • Edges dyed, creased and sanded three times

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the adjustment system work?

The buckle has a screw on the back, allowing it to be completely removed. Cut the excess leather to the desired length, make a small hole for the screw, then re-screw the buckle — this can be done at home or by a cobbler in 5 minutes.

What size should I choose?

Our belts come in one size, delivered at a full length of 120 cm. Unscrew the buckle, cut the excess leather to your waist size, pierce the screw hole and screw it back. Allow five minutes, or have it done by a cobbler.

Why a brass buckle rather than a zamak one?

Zamak, a zinc alloy, oxidises and turns a greyish colour. Solid brass, on the other hand, takes on a golden patina that improves the piece. Stronger, finer, built to last decades.

Full-grain leather or split leather?

Full-grain leather is the top layer of the hide, the densest and the most durable. It keeps the natural fibre structure and takes a patina. Split leather, used on most belts on the market, does not.

Is the belt made in Italy?

Yes, entirely. The calf leather is tanned in traditional Italian tanneries, the brass buckle is made in Italy, and final assembly is carried out in a leather goods workshop in Milan.

Delivery and returns?

Free delivery in France on orders over €200. Returns and exchanges accepted within 14 days, on unworn items in their original packaging. Showroom at 31 Passage Verdeau, Paris 9e, by appointment.
