Frequently Asked Questions
How does the adjustment system work?
The buckle has a screw on the back, allowing it to be completely removed. Cut the excess leather to the desired length, make a small hole for the screw, then re-screw the buckle — this can be done at home or by a cobbler in 5 minutes.
What size should I choose?
Our belts come in one size, delivered at a full length of 120 cm. Unscrew the buckle, cut the excess leather to your waist size, pierce the screw hole and screw it back. Allow five minutes, or have it done by a cobbler.
Why a brass buckle rather than a zamak one?
Zamak, a zinc alloy, oxidises and turns a greyish colour. Solid brass, on the other hand, takes on a golden patina that improves the piece. Stronger, finer, built to last decades.
Full-grain leather or split leather?
Full-grain leather is the top layer of the hide, the densest and the most durable. It keeps the natural fibre structure and takes a patina. Split leather, used on most belts on the market, does not.
Is the belt made in Italy?
Yes, entirely. The calf leather is tanned in traditional Italian tanneries, the brass buckle is made in Italy, and final assembly is carried out in a leather goods workshop in Milan.
